River's Edge Grille & Tavern at Indian Mound Golf Club held its second annual Soup & Chowder competition on Sunday January 29th on a cool winter's day. The competition from local Restaurants and Home kitchens showed locals that we have many great cooks in this area. We had close to 100 people come and vote for their favorites in three separate categories. Best Chowder award went to Doug & Donna Sharp's Seafood Chowder, Best Soup award went to Boyles Market's Grandma's Chicken Soup, and Best Table Presentation went to Doug & Donna Sharp. The voting was close amongst all nine vendors as each vote was read which tells us that every vote…does count. We want to give thanks to our Ossipee Chapter of Rotary for helping out at the door and having a 50/50 drawing which had Mike Thibideau as the winner.

We want to thank everyone that participated in this event and looking forward to our next competition which is scheduled for Sunday, February 26th, our 2nd annual "CHILLI CHALLENGE".
