OSSIPEE, NH – Indian Mound Golf Course in Ossipee, NH announced today that they will open for their 41st season on April 23. The course plans to open with all 18 holes. With this week’s warmer temperatures, the greens have emerged from the winter snowpack in great shape.

General Manager Jonathan Rivers reported on a recent sunny afternoon that they were hopeful that this week’s forecasted warmer temperatures would do the trick to get the course open promptly. “We cover our greens every winter which keeps the soil warmer and gets temps up quicker. This ensures that everything starts growing sooner,” stated Rivers, who has owned the course for four seasons.

Rivers added, “We came through the winter well with no flooding. The greens are in good shape. We’ve been eager to get open as soon as possible but we want to give our guests the best experience so we've held off until now.”

Indian Mound’s reputation is growing, offering a quality 18-hole course at a great value for all levels of golfers, beginners and scratch golfers alike. The course will be running an early season special with greens fee and cart for under $40 through early May.

“There isn’t a better value for golfers in the region,” stated Rivers. “I feel the efforts we have put into the course over the last three years will really pay off this season. I encourage anyone who has never played here or hasn’t visited us in a while to play a round to see the many improvements we’ve made since acquiring the course.”

Indian Mound is looking forward to another busy season with a full calendar of tournaments, demo days and other special programs, including the popular Bartlett School Tournament on May 29th and the Mount Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce Tournament on May 15th.

Indian Mound has a full service bar and restaurant on premises called Rivers Edge Tavern. The Tavern is open daily and offers a full menu of pub favorites, all of which are available to eat in or take out. The Tavern is a great dining alternative for locals and visitors alike, located conveniently off Route 16 and open 7 days a week. The Tavern is open to the public, golfers or not.

The course also features a fully-stocked pro shop with products from Ping, Cobra, Titleist and more. They also provide club fitting services. Rivers was named the 2007 Regional Ping Club Fitter of the Year, recognizing him for continuing commitment to custom fitting and its value to golfers of all abilities.
